Summer 2019
A3 apparel is a women’s denim company that designs, markets, and manufactures denim for retailers and directly to consumers. Within the company there are several different brands, price points, sizes, and styles.
Technical Design/Sample intern
As a sample intern, I assisted in working with fit models and creating spec sheets to send to the factory. I would measure our new sample jeans as they would come in. I would check to make sure everything was the correct measurement and length that we asked for. The next step is to fit the jeans on a fit model. They fit models would come in and try on the jeans and explain to us any improvements the denim needed. I would take that information and put it into our fit templates and then they would be sent back to China to be either approved or asking for another sample.

E-Commerce Marketing Intern

Email Marketing - Webpage Design - Analytics - Competitor Research - Voice Narration
While working on the marketing team I strategically used e-commerce marketing analytics to design, launch, and promote email marketing graphics in a way to present products in a memorable way to lead customers to the website. I also Creatively wrote blog posts, video scripts, social media captions, and slogans to align with marketing campaigns!
My favorite marketing campaign that I got to work on was called Re: Denim. While I was at A3 Apparel, they were launching a new sustainable denim collection. I got to participate in writing the script for the video campaign. I was even chosen to be the voice over for the video.

Model Casting - Styling - Garment Fitting - Organizing
The biggest project I worked on this summer was styling the brand launching photoshoot for Voché. Voché is a brand that is inspired by using the power of your voice. The vision for the photoshoot was to reflect an urban, inner city, fierce women.

Model Casting
During my time at A3 Apparel, I was apart of a lot of model casting sessions. We would rearrange the showroom to create a welcoming environment for models to come in and be photographed. I was in charge of welcoming everyone, signing them in, and calling them when it was their turn. I also assisted the photographer in dressing the models in certain outfits that I think best displayed the brand and the models aesthetic. I learned that being a model isn't just about being pretty, but it is about having the look, morals, and aesthetic to fit the brand.
Styling and
Garment Fitting
During the styling and fitting process, I was used as a fit model. I got to try on all the pieces and work with the designer to style the garments in preparation from the shoot. Along with that, when I was used as a fit model I got to give feedback on what works well in the design and what could be improved functionally.
I totally smile more in person... I was trying to channel the "fierceness" of the brand.
I spent a great deal of time prepping for the shoot. I created informational packets to give the cast the day of the shoot so everyone knew the order of the looks, styling requirements, and location. Along with that, I also made sure all of the outfits and accessories were prepared and organized in order.
Indoor location: Pent-house in SoHo Manhattan
The indoor location was at Village Studio. This is a penthouse studio located in Soho Manhattan.
Outdoor location: Upper East Side of Manhattan
For the outdoor location, we rented out a casting trailer to be stationed out in the upper east side of Manhattan. We moved around this area to find unique walls, buildings, and other urban artifacts to shoot at the best represented the Vochè visio
